Devotional
Ephesians 3:17–19
“Rooted and established in love.”
Today’s devotional will be a reflection application with an awesome printable coloring page! It is important to make sure we are pacing ourselves and allowing our brain to absorb all the information we are delving into during this journey. Making sure we have a life that is strongly rooted in Christ is a life full of love and grace!
The Root System Journal Reflection
We know in order to concur this life we must have a foundation strongly rooted in Christ. There will be moments we will be tested and it is important to reflect and evaluate how our environment, core beliefs, support system, and relationship with Christ will stand. Let’s take a moment and self evaluate our foundation in Christ!
1. Your Soil (Environment) Is your daily environment, like your home or social media feed, helping you grow or draining your peace?
2. Your Taproot (Core Truth) When life feels chaotic, what is the one truth about God that keeps you steady?
3. Your Network (Support) Who are the people who help hold you up when life gets windy?
4. Your Growth (The Journey) How have you felt God’s love in a way that’s hard to put into words?
Wanting to start utilizing coloring as your self care? No problem! Here is a simple kit to get you started!

When life feels chaotic, what is the one truth about God that keeps you steady?
For me, what feels chaotic the most is lack of money and resource so for me I like to remember psalm 23 The lord is my sheperd I have all that I need.
I am truly loving these mental health posts. As someone who had suffered with depression all her life, these posts are amazing.
As a college student, this devotional truly touched my heart in a deeper way than I expected. In the middle of assignments, stress, and constant distractions, reflecting on being “rooted and established in love” reminded me that my identity isn’t in my grades or performance- it’s in Christ. The questions made me honestly evaluate my environment, my faith, and the people I allow to influence me. It helped me realize that if my roots aren’t planted firmly in God’s love, I’m easily shaken by anxiety and comparison. This devotional reminded me that God’s love is steady, deep, and personal, and that when I stay grounded in Him, I can face college life with more peace, grace, and trust in His plan.
