Psalm 139:14
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Mental Health Insight –  For years scientists believed that our brain stopped evolving once we became adults. However, we now know the brain never stops growing and developing. Your brain is constantly creating new neuropathways, helping you learn and remember through each daily experience. You were “wonderfully made” with a system that was designed to constantly learn and grow with you and each of life’s moments.

Faith Connection -When we take a moment to slow down and look at the detail God put into creating His children, we can see the deep love and compassion He has for us. We have often put limitations on the Creator’s most prized possessions, you and I. Despite what past scientists believed, it is never too late to learn something new and grow as an individual.

Reflection Question: What area of your life is needing growth? What do you feel like is holding you back?

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for the incredible way You designed me. I praise You because I am truly fearfully and wonderfully made, with a mind that is built to grow and a spirit that is built for change. Forgive me for the times I have placed limits on myself or felt it was too late to start over. Help me to embrace the ‘new things’ You are doing in my life, trusting that You are still shaping me and guiding me every single day. Amen.
