20 Reflection Questions to Challenge Imposter Syndrome As A Christian

When the inner critic starts to tell you your not good enough and you don’t belong we can start to develop imposter syndrome. Today, let’s use the following questions to slow down and challenge that inner critic.
1 What makes you feel like you are not qualified to be where you are right now?
2 How does it feel to know that your competence comes from God and not your own perfection?
3 When your brain tells you that you are a fraud how can you pause and ask God for the truth?
4 Who is one person in your life that sees your true value even when you doubt yourself?
5 What is one small success you had today that you can celebrate instead of dismiss?
6 How does remembering that God specifically chose you change the way you view your abilities?
7 What is one lie your inner critic tells you that you want to stop believing today?
8 How can you practice accepting a compliment today without making an excuse?
9 When you feel like you do not belong what is one scripture you can hold onto?
10 How can you thank God for placing you exactly where you need to be ?
11 What does it look like to trust Gods calling over your own self doubt ?
12 How can you be gentle with yourself when you make a normal human mistake?
13 What is one way you can remind your nervous system that you are safe and capable?
14 When you look at your past growth how does it prove your inner critic wrong?
15 What is one small step you can take today to step into your God given confidence?
16 How can you stop comparing your behind the scenes reality to everyone else’s highlight reel?
17 What is a healthy boundary you can set to protect your mind from feelings of inadequacy?
18 How does knowing Jesus experienced being misunderstood comfort you in your own fears?
19 What is one piece of evidence that shows you have worked hard to get where you are?
20 How can you invite the Holy Spirit to quiet your fears and fill you with peace today?

19.) is the only one I can question right now. The only evidence I have is from my husband saying how my walk with Christ changed me. And it did but it’s not my work but Gods. He is my source and the old me would feel even more hopeless in times of tragedy but I know we are supposed to be joyous as believers when people pass away because this isn’t the end.
