Philippians 1:6
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”
Mental Health Insight – There may be moments throughout our lives, where we question and struggle to trust God’s timing and process. In moments like this it is important to slow down to reflect on what God has done this far in your life. Below is a short journal reflection to help during moments we struggle to see the progress and bigger picture of God’s plan.
Reflect on a time in your past when you felt stuck or unfinished but can now recognize how God was working behind the scenes. How did that experience ultimately lead to growth in your life?
Identify one area of your life that currently feels messy or still in progress. Rather than focusing on what feels wrong, name one good work God has already begun in that area such as a small habit, a softened heart or a moment of strength?
Reflection Question: How does recalling God’s faithfulness in completing past works help ease my anxiety about what still feels unfinished today?
Prayer: Dear God, I admit that I struggle to trust Your timing when I only see the mess. Thank You for the reminder that You are the Architect who never leaves a job half-done. I choose to look back at Your faithfulness so I can look forward with hope. I trust that the work You began in me is safe in Your hands. Amen.
