I used to serve at church every other Sunday. It wasnt a huge roll it was media and tech but I didn’t have the energy it required. I didn’t do it a long time but I got disappointed doing it because I wasn’t able to fully function on the sermon like I wanted to. It made me feel burnout quick from feeling drained in health and because I didn’t get the whole Word of God like I needed. He is literally the source of my strength so instead of getting filled I just kept feeling empty until I had to take a step back. It was fun but it’s not something I can constantly do with anxiety and health problems. Once something starts feeling heavy it’s time to Go to God and think about switching.

One of the best things that I have learned is to prioritize and schedule rest. If I know I have a busy day, I still make time to find a moment to rest. I will do a 10-15 minute Christian meditation and just allow my brain and body to rest. It is very healing.
