I really needed this the last 3-4 days I just wanted to stop and kinda give up. Just been really struggling with some things and not really wanting to do anything which includes my daily Bible reading and even praying I got stuck :( and the sadness and pain took over me but once i surrendered to the Lord and took back my faith in fight I feel a little better because God is bigger than my pain, problem and suffering and if there’s any Hope at all it’ll be by his grace and might not mine.

I definitely struggle with freezing. I always have but never knew a name for it until more recently.
I do microsteps with my house work. I purposely keep ads on my streaming services. When I am frozen on the couch and mindlessly watching a show, I have trained myself to not just sit through ads. I call it, "Commercial Clean-ups." Basically, i know that I will only have to do something for the duration of the ad. That often leads to me noticing how much I have done and breaking the freeze cycle.

My therapist and I were just talking about this. I have started leaving my phone in another room while I pick up/put my house to bed. I enjoy cleaning to a point and this is something I can do without my phone. I am starting small.
I also ordered a coloring book and will spend some time coloring without my phone on or near me.

This makes so much sense especially for me being neurodivergent and having meltdowns and anxiety. I ask my husband constantly pls stop sending reels to me but sometimes I’ll do the same thing to him. It makes so much sense the way you explained it and I’m def gonna try harder to stop being part of my own problem

I have recently thought about it and even brought my phone to my room while having Bible time in the living room. But I get fearful I’ll miss a call from husband so I think I’ll move charger to kitchen so it’ll charge and if it rings I’ll still hear it. I sometimes get off fb to digitally detox me and my husband got off for an entire year and now we are in a better place for it, we have been back a few months and feel renewed and refreshed

What a beautiful thing. Because now I realize I have someone like that. She always offers me a different view point. Sometimes we are night and day and others we are exact but 90% we are different in a ton of ways.
